Welcome!

Hot News!  The next meeting of the Friends of Pickering Park Gardening Club will be Saturday 18th May 2013. Meet in the Sensory Garden, where the Bowling Green used to be at 10.30 a.m.
We have applied for funding to buy equipment, but nothing has come through yet, so bring the tools that you think you might need. Suitable clothing is also an essential, including gardening gloves.

There is another page added to the web site that has a few quizzes on it.  Go and have a look and see how you get on.  At the moment there are no prizes for getting all the answers right, but that might change in the future.
I have to thank 'nature detectives' for some of the material that has been used in the creations of these quizes.

We meet on the first Thursday of the month, usually, in St. Nicholas Church Hall, from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.  If you go into the car park next to the church hall, enter via the door to the hall furthest away from the road, and we are usually in the first room on the right.
There are other ways that you can find out what is going on, by looking at our web site, 'liking' us on Face book, or 'following' us on twitter (@FPickeringPark)
Be a Friend of Pickering Park

Our A.G.M. Our A.G.M happens yearly on the first Thursday in May in the usual meeting place (See above).  Everyone is invited to come, so come aloing and have a say in what happens in your park.

Save Our Gates
The  Campaign to save the Pickering Park Gates continues.  We have raised over £1000.00 by public donation, but we still need to raise more.  Please click on the image to the left, which will take you to the page that deals with the campaign, and you can give as much or as little as you like via PayPal.
Thank you very much!

Thanks go to our local city councillors and the Hull City Council's  West Area Team for helping us to start the group and their continued support, Parks and Open Spaces, especially the Park Rangers for their advice and knowledge, St. Nicholas Church for being a very helpful neighbour, Hull C.V.S. for their advice, the local Police for their support, and the many other people that have helped in any way to promote the use of the Park or has enjoyed themselves in the Park.
